Why do some businessmen prefer to be sole proprietor?

A sole proprietor is any person who owns, manages and takes the economic risk associated with a business firm. That is, he owns the business. He manages the business himself or by any other person he appoints.  The ultimate thing is that he gets the reward of ownership alone and bear the risk associated with the business alone.
The following three (3) reason will always make businessmen want to remain sole proprietors rather than partnering with other person(s).
1. There is pride of ownership: - a sole proprietor is proud that he owns a business alone. He is happy he reaps all the financial reward of ownership. He is driven by this personal interest to venture into businesses as he knows all the rewards of ownership will come to him alone.
2. Undisputed decision; - the sole proprietor can take decision quickly as they please him. The decisions are not disputed by any of his employees. Thus, he has the ability and freewill to take decision as quick as he can possibly do.
3. Control of the business: - the sole proprietor has control over the operating and financial policies of the business. Being a director of all affairs of the business, he is able to exercise control as he wishes.
